been meaning to sign up for the forum and say 'hi', but never seemed to get bored enough to put in the effort to create an account. but after catching up on gizmodo, engadget and some random wikipedia, i finally reached the bottom of the barrel in terms of boredom at work...

so anyway, i've had fun over the past few months on the SWG PL server. regardless of the recent lag problem, the general population and reasonable admin involvement are more than enough reason to keep coming back. big thanks to whoever it is that pays the hosting bill, and to the admins that keep the server relatively free of ass-hattery.

a little about me: 36, married w/ 2 kids. i'm a reformed ex-WoW player, having played for 3 years in a semi-hardcore guild, moonlighting as an auction house whore. finally tore myself away from it last year, and sold my accounts along with almost 200,000g. i dont even want to figure out my /played time, it would be depressing. since that time, it's been a mix of CoDMW2 on xbox, various single player PC games, and now TF2.

feels good to get back into an old-school style FPS on a casual level.

so thats about it. thanks for reading, or at least feigning interest by opening the thread. i look forward to continued fun, and hopefully i'll get up off my ass soon and get another mic.

I've been playing L4D2 for most of the day, like I usually do before the payload server starts filling up at night. I've yet to start a campaign where one of these situations don't happen: a) I do my stuff as an Infected and manhandle all the survivors and at least 2 people rage quit after they die or b) I do my stuff as a Survivor and beat down on the infected and they rage quit after all 4 of us survivors reach the first safe room.

I'm not even kidding, this just happened to me like 20 minutes ago; start Parish as Infected, start as Hunter. Wait for survivors to go up ramp, rest of team harass Survivors and I pounce the Nick that decided to kinda straggle by the bottom of the ramp. Rest of the Survivors just keep going and I kill Nick. I follow up behind them and pounce Coach, kill him. I repeat this with Rochelle and Ellis, I took maybe 35-40 damage during this whole ordeal, whole other team quits.

I almost want to go track down Gabe and do this to him ]]>

I'm a union electrician that specializes in traffic signal operations and industrial. I can do woodwork, ironwork, any type of concrete, and I'm damn good with a sledge hammer. I can operate practically any type of equipment (backhoe and auger trucks are a personal favorite) and can drive anything that has wheels and a steering wheel (except crane trucks, they have like 16 gears).

As far as gaming goes, I've been around the block. I prefer the Heavy and Sniper in TF2 and occasionally hit up Engineer.

I also love computers and keep up with the industry. As you've already noticed I tend to act fast on tech help threads.



After about 6 months of being around here, I still don't have 100 hours, but I'm pretty close. I'll blame most of it on planning a wedding, part time school, and other odds and ends. Not to mention other video games caught my attention.]]>
