I've lived in Illinois for almost seven years, and the bears fans are harmless. just let them get excited about their free agent signings, because we all know someone is going to get hurt in the preseason and their whole year will be down the tubes.

I do agree with you though, if you've lived in a state all your life and are the wrong fan, that's just silly. Unless you live right by the border, then its more acceptable. Two of my college roommates were diehard packers fans but they never lived in
wisconsin, they lived in central illinois their whole lives...

i hear you on that. i knew a guy in the Air Force, Tim Warren, who was a huge Packers fan but he was from Oregon. when i first got to the shop after Korea, i used to piss him off huge because i heard he was a Packers fan and i said something like "yeah, right, he isn't even from Wisconsin." that, and i used to pronounce Oregon w/heavy emphasis on the OregON part and he used to pronounce it like he was saying OregEN. ON versus EN ending, i guess. us Wisconsinites like to put heavy emphasis on anything w/an O in it. lol

right between Onalaska and Holmen. next to La Crosse if you haven't heard of those; right on the Mississippi River so we have too many MN fans around here and we can't get rid of them. they like to give us their tax dollars though when they cross the border to shop at our stores.

In other baseball news that doesn't include A-Rod or Strasburg, Hideki Matsui debuted for the Angels, going 1-3. Hopefully he'll have a good year. Big Grin

Yea its weird how it happens. Holmen? I have a friend living around there. I've read articles on how there are "die hard" Packer fans in Australia and all over Europe. When I lived in Europe I barely ever heard of football besides in movies so I have no idea how they watch the games...

Australians are hardcore rugby fans, which is similar to football, so then I guess they follow some football as well
