My TF2 playtime will decrease greatly with the release of Starcraft 2. I loved the first one and I will most likely be having a boner the entire time I am playing Starcraft 2. If you are like me and love this game please reply to this thread and add your thoughts. I don't think I'll be entering myself in any Korean tournaments or anything but I'll definitely be playing this hardcore.

I won't be playing Beta but I'll most likely be getting Starcraft 2
huge boners. why no beta chump?
Well this game has been in development for a very long time. I'm going out on a limb here but I'd say the beta is very polished and the goal of the beta is to test the new battle.net and test balance issues within the game. I'm looking forward to mostly the single player campaign but I also love playing online with people I know.
Did I say huge boner also? BATTLE CRUISER OPERATIONAL.
I'd certainly like to get my hands on the beta, is there a sign-up anywhere? I rocked the original like a champ. I never did much ladder, but I remember playing with #48 in the world once and being faster than him. I even wrote like a 70 page online strategy guide that became pretty popular for the first one...
If you have a battle.net account you can "opt" for the beta by selecting it in your preferences. If you attended Blizzcon 2008 you got a voucher as well. I'm sure some major sites will be "giving away" beta spots etc very soon.
i was excited at first for it but now i'm not really. i don't think i'm much of a RTS gamer like i used to be. i'd like to play the Zerg and Protoss campaigns again, though. Terran were boring to me. i'll probably still buy it but i doubt i'll beta test because i don't care much anymore. RTS is just kind of a dead genre to me. i'd rather play Diablo III.
besides, i didn't really get into the first SC until the Brood War expansion pack came out w/Lurkers and Dark Templars or maybe the Julia Roberts look-alike medics came around. i'm thinking this one will be the same way. i still remember SC BW pretty well. i'll 1v1 any of you who think you're all that any time if you like to see how good you really are.
i used to have a lot of fun on the 2v2v2v2 Big Game Hunter maps or 2v6 Comp Stomp. 3v3 and 4v4 were always kind of lame because one team just tried to rush one opponent out of the game to get the advantage and then turtle usually. 2v2v2 or 2v2v2v2 were an entirely different animal strategy wise.
