Second Wind Gaming

Since this has come up a few times on the server, I figured we make a poll about it to see what everyone thinks.
And a new month is around the corner.

Should we reset the Stats every month, every 2 months, 3 months or never.

I think monthly would be nice since it would give people more of a chance to be in the top 10 and reward people that are not normally going to get to that level anytime soon, we could do a competition with this also, like have a reserver slot or something for the top 3 for the next month etc.

This is just a suggestion and a poll to see where everyone is at on this idea.

Month seems fair maybe 2 but 3 is a bit long or if never that is cool too but i voted monthly

I concur on the monthly reset, keeps it fair imo.

hmm, this is a tough one. i wish there was some way to track stats all the way back (which would make me lean toward 'never'), but a monthly reset WOULD have the effect of stimulating people to play more around those times, perhaps. I dunno....

Perhaps create a sticky post for the previous month's top 10, maybe even its own section to keep it noticable.

I voted for every 3, because half the reason stats are there is so people can work to show "how good of a player" they are compared to the rest of the server...or something to that effect. I think resetting them too often would discourage people.

resetting every month is not my cup of tea, you work your ass off to get number 1 and guess what, it resets, NO BRAGGING RIGHT FOR YOU NEWB!

ja, i agree. why even come in the server if they just get reset and you care about stats.

It would be cool if you could keep track of the current month and also "all-time" stats. I agree with everyone that says "what's the point" in getting ranked super high one month just to see it fall away for nothing, but also you could then keep track of who was doing best currently with the monthly rankings and not just historically.
