This time it's Need For Speed: Shift!!
Game will be rated on Graphics, Gameplay, and Shelf Life on a scale of 1-10 and then will receive an overall score in the end
The version of NFSS that I'm reviewing is on the PC but it is also available on Xbox360, PS3, PSP, iPhone, iTouch, and other mobile phones.
Price Tag: 45.99-49.99 US Dollars
Graphics: Wow. The graphics on this game is just unbelievable. Even on PC this game looks like it was on a console. Well, that is you have the graphics card that can run it on maxed out settings. The reflections are real time, damage can be inflicted on the car's body, the car's interior is modeled after it's real life counter part. It's just so pretty and unbelievable......

Note: That is the motion blur you're seeing, not bad graphics. Just by looking at the insides, I know the car is a Pagani Zonda

Gameplay: The past few NFS titles left a bad taste in my mouth and I was wondering if EA would ever get its head out of its ass and stop making games that featured a crappy story line with unnecessary drama and bad racing physics. And how did they respond? By hiring the guys who racing games, not games that had featured racing in it. Slightly Mad Studios developed the excellent GTR series and there was no one better to bring back NFS from the dead. NFS throws away the bad storyline and gives you a pure racing game. The closest thing that comes to a storyline is the guy who gives you tips and the fact that you gain rivals as you race. The gameplay is very realistic besides the fact that your car can't break down (well mine hasn't yet and it's been through a lot). When hit high speeds, you start getting tunnel vision, when you crash the screen blurs like you really did get hit at 100 km/h. This is what GRID was supposed to be. The ability to tune cars to your liking with realistic physics. The point of this game is to use the in-car view which really brings out the hardcore racing simulation. Hardcore racers and newcomers alike can play this because the tuning system can go from very advanced to very basic. The only bad thing about it is that there is no racing schedule, it's more like a checklist of things you have to do to progress to the next level.

Shelf Life: I'm not sure yet if this game will last me long, but it sure is fucking fun. I hate the fact that I had to put the controller down to write this review. Right now I'm racing on Normal and I'm having somewhat of a challenge from the AI so I know if I put it on the hardest difficulty level, it'll be
very satisfying when you win.
cHUMPcHANG3's Rating: 8.0
Final Thoughts: I've found a new love
. Holy shit, it's hard to explain the feeling when you win. There was so much adrenaline rushing through me every race, my hands were shaking by the time I was finished for the night. Get this game, I demand you!!!
